Abstract

Technological advancements in the manufacturing industry are one of the factors that influence the labor efficiency of each employee. This research aims to test and analyze the impact of using machine units with conventional milling methods and computer numerical control (CNC) methods in the manufacturing industry of lorry shaft (cages). The location of this research is CV JMN Perkasa, which is one of the manufacturing industries located in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. This research is a quantitative study. The determination of the sample size used an equation, resulting in a research sample of 80 people. The data came from questionnaires given to each respondent. The data analysis itself used SEM PLS analysis, and the data processing in this study used the Smart PLS version 3.0 application. The research results show that the use of computer numerical control (CNC) methods in the manufacturing industry has a positive and significant impact on labor efficiency compared to conventional milling methods in the process of making lorry shafts (cages).
