Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of Trichocompost of Oil Palm Empty Bunches (EFB) and Coconut Water POC on the growth and production of mustard greens. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, KM 11, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 3 months starting from November 2021 to January 2022. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design, consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was Trichocompost EFB (T) and the second factor POC Coconut Water (P), each of which consisted of 4 levels of treatment. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, root volume and root length. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the effect of Trichocompost of Oil Palm Empty Bunches (EFB) and POC Coconut Water had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving a combination of Trichocompost Oil Palm Empty Bunches (EFB) 92.5 g/plant and POC coconut water 200 ml/l (T3P2). The main effect of Trichocompost of empty palm oil bunches has a significant effect on all observed parameters. The best treatment was giving Trichocompost empty palm fruit bunches 92.5 g/plant (T3). The main effect of coconut water POC has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving POC coconut water 200 ml/l (P2).
