Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of POC catfish waste water and boiler ash on the growth and production of shallots. 113 Perhentian Marpoyan Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru for 3 months from January to March 2023. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the POC of catfish waste water with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5 L added with 1 liter of water and the second factor was the dose of boiler ash consisting of 4 treatment levels 0, 450, 900 and 1,350 grams per plot. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves per plant at harvest time, number of tubers per clump, fresh weight of tubers per clump, dry weight per clump, tuber weight loss. Observational data were analyzed statistically and followed by the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the POC interaction of catfish wastewater and boiler ash had a significant effect on all parameters with the best combination of POC catfish wastewater 7.5 L + 1 liter of water with boiler ash 1,350g per plot. The main effect of POC of catfish wastewater was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at 7.5 L + 1 liter of water. The main effect of Boiler Ash is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment at a dose of 1.350g per plot.
