Abstract

This research was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, located at Jl. Kaharudin Nasution KM. 11 No. 113, Marpoyan, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. The study spanned four months, from November 2024 to February 2025. The research was conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ir. Hasan Basri Jumin, MSc, as supervisor I, and Dr. Ir. Saripah Ulpah, MSc, as supervisor II. The study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was the concentration of Zeatin, consisting of four levels: 0 ppm, 0.1 ppm, 1.0 ppm, and 10.0 ppm. The second factor was the concentration of NAA, also with four levels: 0 ppm, 0.1 ppm, 1.0 ppm, and 10.0 ppm. The experiment was replicated three times.he observed parameters included:, Explant survival percentage, Percentage of explants forming shoots, Percentage of explants forming roots, Number of shoots per explant,Percentage of explants forming callus, Number of somatic embryos per explant.The results showed that the interaction between Zeatin and NAA had a significant effect on all observed parameters: explant survival percentage, percentage of explants forming shoots, percentage of explants forming roots, number of shoots per explant, percentage of explants forming callus, and number of somatic embryos per explant. The best treatment was found at Z2N3 (Zeatin 1.0 ppm and NAA 10 ppm).
