Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction and main effect of various types of ZPT and planting media on lemon cuttings. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution, KM 11, No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted for 3 months, starting from January to March 2021. The design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the type of ZPT which consists of 4 levels; without ZPT, ZPT Gibberellins, ZPT Atonik and ZPT Auxin. While the second factor is the planting medium consisting of 4 levels: soil, soil+rice husk, soil+cocopeat and soil+charcoal husk. The parameters observed were the percentage of growing cuttings, the age at which shoots appeared, the number of shoots, the number of leaves, and the number of roots. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of various types of ZPT and planting media had an effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was found in ZPT auxin 1 cc/l water and soil + charcoal husk planting medium. The main factors of various ZPT types affect all observation parameters. The best treatment was found in ZPT auxin 1 cc/l water. The main factor of the planting medium affects all observation parameters. The best treatment is found in soil + husk charcoal planting media.
