Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of Titonia Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) and Grand-K Fertilizer on shallot growth and production. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City for four months starting from March 2020 to June 2020. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) Factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor was the concentration of Titonia POC which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 300, 600, and 900 ml/l and the second factor was the dose of Grand-K which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 10, 20, and 30 g/plot. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of titonia POC and Grand-K fertilizer was significant on plant height, tuber dry weight per hill, and tuber dry weight per tuber. The combination of POC titonia with a concentration of 900 ml/l and Grand-K fertilizer with a dose of 30 g/plot (T3K3) was the best treatment. The main effect of titonia POC is significant on all observed parameters, except harvesting age. Giving POC titonia with a concentration of 900 ml/l (T3) is the best treatment. The main effect of Grand-K fertilizer was significant on all observed parameters, except harvest age. The application of Grand-K fertilizer at a dose of 30 g/plot (K3) is the best treatment.
