Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) is one of the subjects studied at school. The learning media used still uses student books so that students do not understand the material optimally. There is an application that is able to describe certain simulations, namely Augmented Reality (AR). AR is used as an interactive medium in the learning process, it is hoped that it can increase student interest in learning. Making 3D objects for this application uses Blender, the user interface uses Unity, the augmented reality library uses the ARCore SDK, and 3D object tracking uses a markerless technique. AR technology can combine virtual objects into a three-dimensional real environment. In displaying 3D objects, the application can be used optimally in tracking object areas with a minimum distance of 4 cm and a maximum of 895 cm, as well as tracking object areas that have texture or color, and have a minimum light intensity of 16 lux. After the application is tested by the user, a score of 87,5% is obtained that the Augmented Reality Application as a Learning Media for Types and Morphological Structures of Leaves can be implemented properly as a medium for learning natural sciences, especially in the sub-chapter on types and morphological structures of leaves. By making this application, students' interest in learning about sub-chapters on the types and morphological structures of leaves can increase.
