Abstract

Scouts have materials called semaphore codes as a way of giving and receiving messages. In a series of semaphore ciphers, using an Augmented Reality-based application is a method for developing and shaping the potential of students in learning semaphore ciphers. This learning media application is made by making 3D objects using Blender software, then for the process of making a user interface using Unity 3D software and the ARCore SDK library with the markerless method. Based on light testing on the application of semaphore communication learning media using Augmented Reality, the results of testing 3D objects can appear in light above 0 lux. Testing at a minimum distance of 3D objects above 10 cm. Tests on a 3D object tracker can appear on blank paper objects, textured objects and uneven objects. Based on the results of user testing the Semaphore Password Learning Media Application using Augmented Reality obtained an assessment result with a score of 85% so that the application could be implemented for students in schools such as Elementary, Middle and High Schools in shaping the potential of students to learn semaphore codes.
