Abstract

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills and habits of a group of people passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training or research. Education often takes place under the guidance of others, but is also possible on a self-taught basis. Technological developments are currently growing rapidly, one of which is Augmented Reality which can be used as a learning medium so that it can attract students' interests in teaching and learning activities. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in real-time conditions. The application to be made is a basic learning media for grouping bacteria with augmented reality. This application aims to build a basic learning media application for grouping bacteria with augmented reality to increase students' interest in teaching and learning activities. Applications are made with unity using 3D displays with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDk library. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5cm to 200 cm 3D animation can appear, and animation can be displayed outside or indoors and can track locations anywhere with the condition that it has sufficient light intensity above 0 lux light intensity. And the results of user testing get a score of 82.47% with that the learning media for chemical molecular shapes based on electron domain theory and hybridization using augmented reality (AR) can help students learn chemical molecular shapes based on electron domain theory and hybridization using augmented reality (AR) in 3D animation.
