Abstract

Watering plants is an activity carried out so that the treated plants grow well and avoid the lack of water content needed by these plants. In contrast to other plants which are only watered using water, shallot plants are watered with water that has dissolved the fertilizer in it. Onion plants are plants that are very susceptible to pests and damage. This is because onion plants have soft leaves and roots so that the beating process must really be paid attention to. Can't give too little fertilizer and can't be too much either. If too much fertilizer is used it will cause the shallots to turn yellow and if too little will cause the undergrowth to grow stunted. There are many types of fertilizers that can be used for shallot cultivation, ranging from organic fertilizers to inorganic fertilizers. Unlike the other plants, shallots have their own way of processing them, namely dissolving the fertilizer in the water. This is done because liquid fertilizer is considered easier to absorb and also easier to adjust the dosage correctly. The dose of liquid fertilizer for shallot plants is 20 ml which is then mixed into 80 ml of water depending on the container that will be used for fertilization. Fertilization must be done every day at a certain time. There are two good times to fertilize, namely in the morning around 05.00 – 08.00 and in the afternoon around 16.00 – 19.00. Giving fertilizer during rains is considered useless because the fertilizer will dissolve with rainwater without being absorbed first by plant roots. So during the rainy season it is continued to provide fertilizer after the rain is over. The whole tool is divided into parts, namely nodemcu, soil moisture sensor, relay, and small pump. Where the system uses a tool that can be set to automatically apply fertilization at specified times and conditions. This research uses IOT to connect all different devices by adding sensors and digital intelligence. IoT is a concept or program where an object has the ability to transmit or transmit data over a network without using the help of computers and human devices. Internet of things or often referred to as IoT is currently experiencing many developments. PID stands for Proportional-Integral-Derivative. These three controllers are combined in such a way as to produce a control signal. As a feedback controller, it provides control output at the desired level.
