Abstract

his study aims to determine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on community welfare around PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional III, Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency. CSR is one of the company's strategies for building harmonious relationships with the surrounding community while contributing to the socio-economic development of the region. The research method used was quantitative. The study population was the community residing around the company's operational area, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling with 30 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire analyzed using simple linear regression to test the effect of CSR on community welfare. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of CSR programs, which cover education, health, infrastructure, and economic empowerment, has a positive and significant impact on improving community welfare. The conclusion of this study is that the more optimal the implementation of CSR, the higher the level of welfare of the community surrounding the company. This study recommends that PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional III continue to improve the quality and reach of its CSR programs so that their benefits can be felt equally by all levels of society.
