Abstract

Consumers have an important role in a business, without consumers business actors will not be able to run their business, let alone harm consumers such as selling refill water that is not suitable for consumption, cloudy water makes people can get stomach diseases but business actors are not responsible for the losses experienced by consumers which violates the regulation of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection The main problem in this study is how consumer protection forms refill drinking water products, according to Law number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection and what are the inhibiting factors in forming consumer protection against refill drinking water products in talago water depots under the mountain This study aims to find out how to carry out the supervision of talago drinking water depots under the mountain and to find out how factors inhibit the granting of law to consumers according to Law No. 8 of 1999 on consumer protection. This study uses sociological legal research methods (empirical) or observation (observation research), which is descriptive, while the data collection tools in this study are through interviews. From the results of the research, it is known that the form of consumer protection against refill drinking water goes through several stages, namely that business actors must carry out their obligations to the losses received by consumers in accordance with law number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection and also the inhibiting factor is that business actors do not listen to complaints from consumers and business actors are not responsible for consumers and consumers do not understand the shrimp law 8 of 1999 regarding consumer protection and also business actors do not pay attention to water cleanliness every year by checking sanitation hygiene to the health office at least once a year according to minister regulation number 43 of 2014 concerning sanitation hygiene
