Abstract

At present there are many crimes that occur in Indonesia, ranging from violence, persecution, murder and other things, this will really have an impact on concern among the community so that it invites the government to be able to jointly tackle the increasing number of crime cases. One of the crimes committed by society is murder. Murder is any act that is done intentionally to eliminate/deprive another person's soul. In addition, murder is considered a very condemnable and inhumane act. The purpose of this study was to determine the causal factors and efforts to deal with ordinary killings in the jurisdiction of the Pinggi Police, Bengkalis Regency. The approach method used in this study is an empirical legal method which belongs to observational research. The determination of the research location is intended to limit the variable areas studied, this research is located at the Pinggir Police, Bengkalis Regency. Respondents in this study were units of the Pinggir District Police Office. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative. The results of the study explained that there was an ordinary murder in the legal area of the Pinggir Police because of economic problems and personal problems. Murders usually happen because of the emotion of the moment. When the perpetrator feels offended, he immediately takes out his anger by hurting someone to the point of killing him. Apart from momentary emotions, the execution in an ordinary murder is the weapon used is a weapon that is in the location around the perpetrator. As for prevention efforts to conduct counseling, provide knowledge and vigilance. While efforts to take action by receiving reports, visiting the crime scene (TKP) carrying out summons, arrests, detention, searches, confiscation and reconstruction as well as final actions such as carrying out paperwork, handing over case files to the prosecutor and handing over suspects and evidence.
