Abstract

Online game addiction is a condition in which a person becomes obsessed and dependent on online games (online games) to the point that it interferes with his daily activities and social interactions. This addiction can cause emotional, mental, and even physical problems for the addicted individual. To help online game users to find out early whether online game users are already in the addict category or not, so a tool is needed, namely an expert system. The method or inference engine used in the expert system in this study is Forward Chaining and the uncertainty method used is Certainty Factor. Based on the results of black box and white box testing on the expert system for diagnosing online game addiction, all functions are running properly and as they should. Based on the results of the MOS (Mean Opinion Score) test conducted on 20 respondents (MOS 3.95), it shows that the expert system for diagnosing online game addiction has worked with a good appearance and is easy to use.
