Abstract

Biomass stove is one of the technologies for utilizing biomass can be used for cooking needs in the household sector. Biomass is a biological material in the form of plants and animals energy can be changed. Various types of biomass from processing residue agricultural materials such as rice husk, corncob, bagasse, sawdust. This study aims to determine the effect of reactor diameter combustion on the performance of biomass stoves and how the influence of variations in the diameter of a good combustion reactor to be used as biomass stove size. The process of testing and data collection on Biomass stoves will be carried out using the Water Method Boiling Test (WBT) . This method is done to determine the performance of the three combustion reactors is measured from thermal efficiency, output power, Specific fuel consumption, Burning Rate. Thermal efficiency value of reactors 1, 2, and 3 fueled by 0.8 kg are 14.6, 21.66 and 18%. The output power values ??from reactors 1, 2 and 3 which fuel 0.8 kg are 4.87, 10.72 and 5.29 kW. The value of the specific fuel consumption of the reactor 1,2, and 3 fueled by 0.8 kg are 0.149, 0.151 and 0.184 kg/kWh. Burning rate values ??of reactors 1, 2 and 3 which fuel 0.8 kg are 0.000202, 0.00044, and 0.000219 kg/s
