Abstract

Theft with aggravation or qualified theft is regulated in Article 363 of the Criminal Code. Because the qualified theft is theft committed in certain ways and under certain aggravating circumstances, the proof of the elements of the crime of theft with aggravation must begin with proving the theft in its basic form. Theft with aggravation is a criminal offense that disturbs the community and harms the community. From this background, the author identifies the main problems, which include: First, what factors cause the occurrence of theft crimes included in the jurisdiction of Siak Police Station? Third, how are efforts made by the police to eradicate theft which is the authority of the Siak Police - in the form of interviews. Although this research is descriptive, it provides a clear and in-depth picture of the problem under study. After going through the stages of data collection and processing, the data is analyzed using qualitative methods. Once the data is analyzed, inductive conclusions are drawn from specific topics to the general public. The research findings lead us to the conclusion that the jurisdiction of Siak Police Station is greatly influenced by the factors that cause theft. Aggravated theft is often triggered by several factors, including: Environmental factors, social factors, educational factors, and economic factors. Modus Operandi of the Crime of Weight Theft in the Legal Area of Siak Police The perpetrators of the crime of weight theft in the legal area of Siak Police use various methods because the method changes depending on the location to be targeted. For his actions. Pre-enforcement, Preventive, and Repressive efforts of Siak Police play a role in eradicating grand theft.
