Abstract

The background of this study was based on the growth of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia, which was accompanied by challenges in attracting the interest of Generation Z, a generation known for being technologically literate, valuing flexibility, and being motivated by achievement. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Employer Branding, E-Recruitment, Compensation, and Career Path on the interest of Generation Z in applying for employment at Islamic Banks in Pekanbaru City. The research method employed was quantitative with a purposive sampling approach. The population of this study consisted of all Generation Z individuals in Pekanbaru City aged 17–28 years, with a total sample of 99 respondents distributed across 15 districts. Primary data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The results of this study partially showed that Employer Branding, E-Recruitment, Compensation, and Career Path had a positive and significant effect on the interest of Generation Z in applying for jobs at Islamic Banks. Simultaneously, the findings demonstrated that these variables had a positive and significant effect on Generation Z’s interest in applying for employment in Islamic Banks. The study concluded that Islamic Banks needed to strengthen employer branding strategies, optimize erecruitment, offer competitive compensation, and provide a clear career path to attract and retain Generation Z talent.
