Abstract
Entering the workforce in the era of globalization is a significant challenge for students. In this increasingly advanced era, students are expected to compete and enhance their skills and abilities to compete with others. One essential skill students must possess is career adaptability, enabling them to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the job market. Additionally, strong grit is necessary to achieve desired goals and avoid giving up easily when facing future work challenges. This study aims to investigate the relationship between grit and career adaptability among students in Pekanbaru. The research method employed is quantitative, using purposive sampling, with a sample size of 485 students in Pekanbaru. Measurements were conducted using the Career Adapt-Ablities Scale (CAAS) to measure career adaptability and the Short Grit Scale to measure grit. The results of the product moment analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between grit and career adaptability among students in Pekanbaru, with a value of (r) = 0.421 and a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05, meaning the hypothesis of this study is accepted.
