Abstract

The crime of child molestation has become a serious concern in law enforcement in the jurisdiction of the Siak Hulu Police. This thesis aims to analyze law enforcement efforts against cases of child molestation in the last five years. The purpose of this study is to understand how the law enforcement system works against the crime of child molestation and also aims to find out what obstacles are found during the process of enforcing the law against the crime of child molestation. This study is an observational research by means of a survey, namely a study that takes data directly from the population/respondents using interviews as a data collection tool. Meanwhile, if viewed from its nature, this study is descriptive, namely a study that explains in the form of clear and detailed sentences about the enforcement of the law on the crime of child molestation in the jurisdiction of the Siak Hulu Police. The results of the study of the crime of child molestation in the Siak Hulu Police area are to examine how law enforcement is carried out by the Siak Hulu Police starting from the investigation stage to the investigation, as well as the obstacles in law enforcement faced by law enforcement officers in uncovering and prosecuting the perpetrators of the crime. such as loss of evidence, alleged perpetrators do not want to come when summoned and several other obstacles. The implications of this study are the need for increased cooperation between various law enforcement agencies and the implementation of more effective law enforcement strategies to overcome this problem.
