Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the management of Green Open Spaces (RTH) by the Environmental Agency in Taman Asri, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The phenomenon in this study is indicated by the Environmental Agency's management of Green Open Spaces (RTH) being as it should be, where several field facts were found due to the lack of maintenance of green open spaces, such as minimal lighting at night, making almost every corner of the Green Open Space (RTH) Taman Asri Kota Molek, Kecamatan Kota Layak Anak a place for young people to engage in immoral activities. Additionally, it is indicated that the Environmental Agency's management of the Green Open Space (RTH) Taman Asri Kota Molek is as it should be because the researcher found many unmaintained park facilities and a lot of scattered trash due to the lack of waste disposal facilities. This type of research is a descriptive survey, which is a type of research that describes the variables being studied, and a qualitative method, which is research in the form of percentages and concludes with drawing a conclusion and providing recommendations. The results of this study indicate the management of Green Open Space (RTH) by the Environmental Agency in Taman Asri, Indragiri Hulu Regency, where several facts were found, such as the lack of clear coordination among related agencies in supervising the maintenance of Green Open Space (RTH) in Taman Asri, Kota Molek, leading to a passing of responsibility in addressing RTH issues like facility maintenance, action against indecent behavior, and RTH cleanliness. Additionally, there is still a lack of understanding among the Human Resources of the Environmental Agency in Taman Asri, Indragiri Hulu Regency, regarding the management of Green Open Space (RTH) in Taman Asri, Kota Molek, resulting in insufficient attention to the maintenance of damaged and unmaintained RTH facilities. And finally, it was found that there were no actions or policies implemented by the Indragiri Hulu District Government or the Environmental Agency regarding the issues of RTH facility damage or the maintenance of other RTH facilities.
