Abstract

Teacher performance has certain specifications. Teacher performance can be seen and measured based on specifications or competency criteria that each teacher must have. The problem in this research is that there are still many middle school teachers in Pasir Turtle District who do not use a variety of learning methods. The use of the lecture method given by the teacher as a method that is always used really makes students feel bored with this method. So the aim of this research is to determine and analyze performance in the learning process at Muhammadyah Middle School, Pasir Turtle District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with primary data sources and secondary data collected by interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this research were 6 Muhammadiyah Middle School teachers, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Based on the research results, it is known that in the learning planning process the teacher carries out activities such as preparing the syllabus, lesson plans, methods and indicators that will be studied in the future. In the process of implementing learning at Muhammadiyah Middle School, Pasir Turtle District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, teachers try to manage the class well, where one way to manage the class well is by being able to create a pleasant atmosphere for students. In the learning evaluation process at Muhammadiyah Middle School, Pasir Turtle District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, the teacher carries out tests on students. This aims to find out how far the students understand the material that has been taught.
