Abstract

This study investigates the influence of various types of natural nutrients and harvest-cutting height on the growth and multiple yields of microgreen pea plants (Pisum sativum L). The research was conducted in the Integrated Laboratory of the Agricultural Faculty at the Islamic University of Riau, from April to May 2024. This study uses a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the provision of various types of natural nutrients, which consists of 7 levels: no nutrient provision, AB mix solution nutrients, banana pseudostem extract nutrients, mung bean sprout extract nutrients, coconut water nutrients, moringa leaf extract nutrients, and rice wash water nutrients. The second factor is the harvest cutting height, which consists of 3 levels: 2 cm, 4 cm, and 6 cm. Therefore, 21 treatment combinations are obtained from the 7 nutrients and 3 cutting height levels. Each treatment combination is repeated three times, resulting in 63 experimental units. The observed parameters included plant height, weight of the first harvest, weight of the second harvest, and total harvest weight. Data were statistically analyzed, followed by the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test at the 5% significance level. The effect of the interaction of various types of nutrients and harvest pruning height was significant on the observed parameters of the first harvest weight with the AB mix nutritional treatment and a pruning height of 2 cm, the weight of the second harvest and the weight of the total harvest in the AB mix nutritional treatment and a pruning height of 4 cm. The main influence of various types of nutrients was significant on the observed parameters of plant height, weight of the first harvest, weight of the second harvest and weight of the total harvest in the AB mix nutrient treatment. The main effect of pruning height was significant on the observation parameters of the weight of the first crop with a pruning height of 2 cm, the weight of the second crop with a pruning height of 4 cm, and the total weight of the harvest with a pruning height of 4 cm.
