Abstract
This research discusses the implementation of sales and purchase agreements for palm oil fruit in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. Palm oil sales and purchase agreements are an important economic activity that affects the welfare of the community, especially oil palm farmers in the region. However, in its implementation, various problems often occur, such as unfairness in price setting, lack of understanding of the law among farmers, as well as problems in terms of product quality and quantity that do not comply with the agreement. Thisresearch aims to analyze the form of agreement that occurs, the rights and obligations of each party, and how the implementation of the agreement can end. This research has the main problems that will be discussed, namely, the Form of Sale and Purchase Agreement for Palm Oil Fruit in Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Regency, and the Form of Rights and Obligations and the End of the Sale and Purchase Agreement between Palm Oil Suppliers and the Community of Sungai Rambai Village, Kampar Regency. The research method used is an empirical legal observational method with a descriptive analysis approach. This research involved interviews with related parties, such as oil palm farmers, collectors, factories and village governments. Primary data was obtained from direct interviews, while secondary data was obtained from relevant literature studies. The research results show that the implementation of sales and purchase agreements for palm oil fruit still faces several obstacles, including non-transparent price determination, late payments, and product quality discrepancies. In addition, farmers' weak bargaining position compared to purchasing companies causes inequality in negotiations. This research also found that the role of village government and strengthening farmer cooperatives could be a solution to improve farmers' bargaining position and ensure fairer and more transparent implementation of agreements.
