Abstract

Drilling of well P56 Field X aims to increase the absorption point of hydrocarbons in the reservoir layer of the Layer-L limestone at Eq. Upper Cibulakan Formation (CBA). Directional wells were drilled with targets at each TVD depth, namely 1363.01 m, 1502.29 m, 2065.48 m, 2323.62 m. During the drilling operation, there was a pipestuck problem at a depth of 1725 MD; the formation that was penetrated contained carbonate rocks with clay inserts so that the drilling series had to be interrupted at a depth of 1418 MD. The path survey of the P56 well was calculated using the minimum of curvature method, because this method has a high level of strength compared to other methods. After analysis shows that the deviation of the drilling trajectory to the target reservoir is Target 1 ?East= -8.164 m , ?North= -47.086 m , ?TVD= 30 m. Target 2 ?East= -5.245 m , ?North= 30 m , ?TVD= 11.33 m. Target 3 ?East= -7.514 m , ?North= -15.037 m , ?TVD= 8.84 m. Target 4 ?East= -1.57 m , ?North= - 6.39 m , ?TVD= 2.9 m. From these results it can be seen that the biggest deviation is in the 1 TVD target of 1363.01 m. Where at that depth pipesstuck occurs.
