Abstract

The emergence of CSR is based on the phenomenon of Corporate Moral Responsibility, which is present because of public protests against companies that do not care about the community and the surrounding environment. There are many facilities that are not available in the Batu Ampar sub-district with regard to the CSR Program at PT. Persero Batam which is not in accordance with Law No. 40 of 2007 is the basis for conducting this research. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is regarding how Corporate Social Responsibility is regulated in Indonesia and how PT. Corporate Social Responsibility is implemented. Persero Batam in Batu Ampar District. The research method used in writing this thesis uses Empirical as a Research Method and uses an Approach with a Descriptive analytical method Conducting structured interviews with Respondents, collecting Population and Respondents as a data collection tool, relevant legislation and direct observation to the research location, draw conclusions deductively from the results of the data that has been obtained. The result of this research is that PT. Persero Batam has implemented the TJSP Program in accordance with the Company's Annual work plan, even though the Partnership program that has been running has been terminated since 2020 due to Covid-19. The sub-district has a good relationship with PT. Persero Batam with openness and synergy. The lack of understanding of the people of Batu Ampar Sub-District regarding CSR or CSR causes assistance to be considered as ordinary assistance, even though the assistance is part of the CSR program.
