Abstract

Analysis of Tofu Agro-industry Business (Case Study of Mr. Supardi's Tofu Agro-industry in Jayapura Village, Bungaraya District, Siak Regency, Riau Province) Under the Guidance of Prof. Dr. Ir. Ujang Paman Ismail, M. Agr Agro-industry is one of the agribusiness sub-systems that processes raw materials of agricultural products to create added value. One of them is soya beans which are processed into tofu. The purpose of this study was to (1) Analyse the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles, (2) Analyse the use of raw materials and supporting materials, processing technology, and production processes, (3) Analyse production costs, production, income, efficiency and added value of Mr Supardi's tofu agroindustry business. The method used in this research is a case study method on Mr Supardi's tofu agro-industry business. The research was conducted in Jayapura Village, Bungaraya District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted for 6 months (December 2023-May 2024). Respondents in this study were Mr Supardi as a business owner. Sources of data used in research from primary and secondary data. The type of data consists of quantitative descriptive data, qualitative, and the Hayami method. The results showed that entrepreneurs have a productive age, namely 44 years old, 12 years of education, 13 years of business experience, and have 4 family dependents. Labour with an age range of 27-65 years, the length of labour education is at 6-9 years, labour business experience is 5-10 years and has 3-4 family dependents. The business has been running for 13 years, the scale of the business is micro and the source of capital is self-owned, the number of workers used is 4 people. In one production process requires 100 kg of soya raw materials. Supporting materials used include 0.36 litres of vinegar, 1 kg of PE plastic, 1 ounce of rubber band, 1 M³ of firewood, 5 litres of diesel, and 1.83 kWh of electricity. The technology used is modern, one of which uses a soybean grinding machine. Production costs incurred were IDR 1,826,136/production process. Produce tofu production of 480 kg / production process. Gross income of Rp. 2,400,000 / production process and net income of Rp. 573,864 / production process. The Return Cost Ratio (RCR) obtained was 1.32, the added value was Rp. 10,807,00 / production process with a profit of 76.84%.
