Abstract

As a mixture of aspaltust be mixed with added filler additive min 1% of total aggregate weight. In environmental engineering efforts, many materials can be used to fill asphalt mixtures, such as using brick waste as fillers for asphalt mixtures. Selection of brick waste as a filler for asphalt mixture because it is a material that is easily obtainable and inexpensive in terms of cost ?The use of brick ash waste in the cities of Pekanbaru and Ujung Batu can be used as a filler option that can be used to determine the marshall characteristics of the planned mix. By using a partial replacement of filler as much as 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% for Pekanbaru and Ujung Batu brick ash waste. The purpose of using brick ash filler is to find out the effect of the addition of brick ash on the observed marshall characteristics The results showed that the maximum results were different for each variation for each marshal characteristic reviewed. For the VMA value, the variation in the use of Pekanbaru brick ash that still meets the requirements is at a percentage of 20%, which is 15.26%, for stone tip abubataall variations still meet the standard because the VMA value for all variations is above 15%. For the VMA value for both types of brick ash in all variations of the conditions with a value above 85%. The VIM value for Pekanbaru brick ash was only 0% which met the requirements, while for the stone ends all variations met the requirements. The flow value for both types of ash is only at a percentage of 20% which meets the requirements while the stability value meets the requirements for all variations in both types of brick ash.
