Abstract
Developing countries like Indonesia are currently actively developing various fields of construction, especially in bridge construction. Damage to the bridge structure itself requires enormous repair costs. Currently, a monitoring system has been introduced to assess structural conditions against dynamic loads, namely the SHMS (Structural Health Monitoring System). In this study, monitoring will be carried out on an arch bridge located on the Riau Islamic University campus with a length of 13 m, a width of 7 m and a height of 4 m. The aim of this research is to find out the Finite Element Modeling, location and optimum number of accelerometer sensors. To determine the condition of the arch bridge structure, it is necessary to detect damage through the response results of the structure recorded through the accelerometer sensor. In identifying the optimum number and location of sensors, the method used in this study is SEAMAC (Sensor Elimination Using Modal Assurance Criterion). Where this method is an algorithmic method that performs an elimination on the sensor. This method finds the measurement point configuration and minimizes the MAC value. By eliminating and detecting which location has the greatest damage effect, it is possible to measure the vibration signal and the most effective control strength. Based on the Finite Element Modeling analyzed by the SAP 2000 V.14.2.2 program, 12 FEA were obtained. Where of these 12 FEA have treatments such as longitudinal bending, transverse bending, and torsion. Thus, the entire FEA will be analyzed in order to determine the location and number of accelerometer sensors on the arch bridge. Placement of sensors at the right location will provide critical location information based on the identification of the capital structure of the bridge. Overall, the number of accelerometer sensor locations was obtained as many as 16 points, where on the floor plate and arch frame each there were 8 points for accelerometer sensor locations.
