Abstract

Soil is part of the earth's surface that has a varied consistency ranging from a very soft consistency, like mud to have a very dense and petrified consistency. Sand cone is an examination to find the density value of the soil arrangement or compaction that has been done first. To be able to determine the strength of the soil sample, CBR testing is carried out. This test is often used as a standard test to determine the strength of the base soil. A wellpad is a bearing well that has a plurality of wells described. Well bearings have two parallel rows or linear arrangements of well pairs. The construction of this wellpad is managed directly by PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) and implemented by PGN Solution Company (PGASOL). The purpose of this study is to determine the density value of landfill in the field with the sand cone method and to determine the comparison of the density value of landfill between areas that have soft bottom soil and hard bottom soil in the field with the sand cone method. This study used the sand cone method in soil density testing. Based on the results of basic soil testing using the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) method, CBR results were obtained in the 5G-0804 B (Heavy Oil Operational Unit / HOOU) area of 15.9% and in the BK-22 S 1 (Duri Central) area of 51.7%. In the Heavy Oil Operational Unit (HOOU) 5G – 0804 B area, there are 2 layers of stockpiles, namely the Bottom Layer and Top Layer, each of which has 2 test points. In testing the density in the field using the sand cone method, so that the relative density of each layer is 9.3-94%. Comparison of test results between the Heavy Oil Operational Unit (HOOU) Area and Duri Central Area can be reviewed in terms of basic soil test results, laboratory test results and tests in Field using the sand cone method
