Abstract

Construction projects in Indonesia generally use conventional methods, such as designing building drawings using autocad and excel to calculating volume and cost there still using paper-based for output where the available information can be fragmented because the documents owned by consultants and contractors can be different due to changes that occur in the field. As a result, Contract Change Order (CCO) occurs, and it is inefficient because there must be rework. Because of this, the concept of BIM is present in the construction world. There is a BIM supporting software called Cubicost. Cubicost is one of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Cubicost application can be integrated with the overall development model to be built. This can save time and money on a project because from the models and data in BIM, contractors can create effective work methods, which can avoid rework. The method used in this study is quantity take-off with the help of two software, Cubicost TAS for volume calculation and Cubicost TRB for reinforcement. The researcher made a 3D model of the data obtained from the project, then compared the difference in calculations between the volume of BIM results with conventional results obtained 8.03% more efficient in work costs using the BIM method compared to conventional methods.
