Abstract

Traffic problems often found in big cities, for example the city of Pekanbaru. The problem of traffic jams and chaos often occurs at crossroads, especially at intersections without traffic lights, one of which is the Jln. Tuanku Tambusai Ujung-Jln. Sm. Amin Pekanbaru Malay Songket Monument Roundabout. This is influenced by several factors, namely the increasing volume of traffic and the number of motorists not obeying traffic regulations. Analyzing the capacity and performance level of an unsignalized intersection, data from the field is taken, in the form of intersection geometric data (width of each foot of the intersection), type and number of vehicles crossing the intersection after multiplying by the equivalence number of each vehicle, to obtain uniformity in car units passenger (SMP). Then the capacity and performance level of the intersections were calculated which included the degree of saturation, and the delay of the intersections using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI 1997). The analysis results obtained, the capacity value (C) of the four observation days, the largest value was 3533.24 pcu / hour on Wednesday, October 12 at 16.00 – 18.00 WIB, the degree of saturation (DS) is 0.563 on Monday, 10 October 2022 at 16.00 – 18.00 WIB, and the deviation delay is 10.175 sec / psu on Monday, 10 October 2022 at 16.00 – 18.00 WIB. Then the capacity is obtained at the intersection of Jln.Tuanku Tambusai Ujung-Jln. SM.Amin Pekanbaru's Malay Songket Monument Roundabout is not feasible to accommodate traffic volume, because it exceeds the basic capacity of the intersection.
