Abstract

The Pekanbaru City Government issued an urban transportation service policy known as the Trans Metro Pekanbaru mass public transportation system (SAUM), which was implemented based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number 111 of 2009. On June 18, 2009, the Pekanbaru Government officially launched the Pekanbaru Trans Metro as public transportation mass use of buses as the mode of transportation of choice for the community. Pekanbaru Mayor Regulation Number 28 of 2009 Article 5 namely, point 2 The amount of the fare for mass public transport passengers using the Pekanbaru Trans Metro bus is Rp. 3,000 which was originally Rp. 6,000 then 50% subsidized. This regulation then underwent changes in Chapter III Article 5 with the issuance of Mayor Regulation Number 10 of 2014, namely the previous ticket fare for mass public transport using the Pekanbaru Trans Metro bus vehicle was Rp. 3,000 adjusted to Rp. 4,000 for general passengers and Rp. 3,000 for students. This regulation is due to the government's concern for the public regarding the Pekanbaru Trans Metro fare. In this study using the sample selection method with the Slovin formula. In the Slovin formula there are the following conditions: e value = 0.1 (10%) for a large population, e value = 0.2 (20%) for a small population. The results of this study showed that based on the results of the study the public's willingness to pay for the Trans Metro mass transit tariff was Rp. 2,265 while the applicable tariff according to Mayor Regulation Number 28 of 2009 Article 5, namely the determination of the tariff applies to one trip Rp. 6,000 with one destination, the following travel provisions can be made by showing a transfer ticket (transit) or not leaving the bus stop and Pekanbaru Mayor Regulation No. 10 of 2014, the amount of the ticket fare for mass public transport with the previous trans metro bus vehicle was Rp. 3,000 after being subsidized, then adjusted to Rp. 4,000 for public/students and Rp. 3,000 for students. This shows that the community is willing and accepts the prevailing rates. But in terms of services and facilities, the community is a little disappointed with the condition of the Trans Metro mass transit.
