Abstract
Concrete is a construction material composed of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water and Portland cement. However, in the production process of Portland cement there is a large release of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere which can damage the environment, for that it needs other materials as a substitute for Portland cement. One alternative to cement, namely by utilizing organic waste with or called environmentally friendly concrete. Lemongrass leaves are one of the waste materials in agriculture. Based on the results of chemical content testing, the silica oxide (SiO2) content of lemongrass leaf ash was obtained by 35.51%, so that lemongrass leaf ash has the potential to be used as an environmentally friendly concrete constituent material. The utilization of lemongrass leaf ash waste and admixture adhesive manufacturer 78 addictive is expected to increase the compressive strength of concrete. This study aims to determine the effect of sera leaf waste burning ash and admixture adhesive manufacturer 78 addictive as a partial substance of cement on concrete compressive strength and to determine the optimum value of concrete compressive strength value. This study uses the concrete mortar mixture planning method referring to the SNI-03-2834-2002 standard. The test specimen is in the form of cylindrical concrete (15 cm x 30 cm) with variations of adding admixture adhesive manufacturer 78 addictive 0.8% and lemongrass leaf ash waste 0%, 2.5% 5%, 7.5% and 10% to the weight of cement. The compressive strength value of 28-day-old concrete using a mixture of lemongrass leaf waste 2.5 and AM 78 0.8% increased by 19.460%, in a mixture of lemongrass leaf waste ash 5% and AM 78 0.8% increased by 19.460%, in a mixture of lemongrass leaf waste ash 7.5% and AM 78 0.8% also increased by 14.906%, in a mixture of lemongrass leaf waste ash 10% and AM78 0.8% also increased by 11.886%, In this study, the optimum value of FC'25 concrete compressive strength was a mixture of 2.5% lemongrass leaf waste ash and 78 0.8% AM. With a compressive strength value of 42.935 mpa with a percentage increase of 27.594%.
