Abstract

Contribution of the Agricultural Sector of GDP and the Structure of Economic Growth by Regency/City in Riau Province, under the guidance of Mrs. Sisca Vaulina, SP., MP. Riau Province is one of the provinces on the island of Sumatra. Riau Province makes a large contribution to the national GDP, however, in the Riau Province region itself there is still income inequality. This research aims to analyze: 1) Riau province's economic growth in 2017-2023. 2). The role of the agricultural sector in the GDP of Riau Province in 2017-2023. 3). Regency/City economic growth structure in Riau Province in 2017-2023. The method used in this research is a library method or literature study. The data used in this research comes from secondary data. The type of data used is time series data for 7 years (2017-2023), namely GDP data, GDP per capita, economic growth, income per capita and population. Data obtained from BPS Riau Province, libraries and scientific journals. Data were analyzed using growth analysis, LQ analysis and Tipoogi Klassen. The research results show from the growth analysis that Dumai City is the area with the highest average economic growth from 2017-2023, while the area with the lowest economic growth is Bengkalis Regency. From the results of the LQ analysis, the role of the agricultural sector in Riau Province is divided into regions with the agricultural sector as superior (LQ > 1), namely Rokan Hulu Regency, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Pulau Meranti Regency, Rokan Hilir Regency, Pelalawan Regency, Kampar Regency and Indragiri Hulu Regency. areas where the agricultural sector is not a leading sector (LQ < 1) are Siak Regency, Bengkalis Regency, Dumai City and Pekanbaru City. Klassen Typology Analysis divides the Riau Province region into 4 quadrants, quadrant 1 (Siak and Rokan Hulu Regencies, Quadrant II (Kuantan Singingi, Indragiri Hulu, Indragiri Hilir, Pelalawan, Rokan Hilir, and Meranti Islands), Quadrant III (Kampar and Bengkalis) and Quadrant IV (Pekanbaru and Dumai).
