Abstract

Risk management is very important in every construction project to prevent cost, quality and project schedule losses. The risk affects time performance, causes delays in construction project work and directly harms project owners and contractors. Risk management for road construction projects has begun, although in general it is still very limited to the economic and funding aspects. In this case it is certainly not enough, the actors in the road project must be able to apply risk management in all aspects of the project, including risks during the construction phase. The risks in outline include the accuracy of material procurement, the accuracy of the schedule, the accuracy of costs and the quality of construction quality. Therefore, further studies are needed regarding the identification and analysis of risks in road projects, especially in the implementation of the Two-lane Construction of the Perawang Highway in Siak Regency at sta.0+000 to 1+036. The purpose of this study is to identify risks, determine the level of risk (Low-Medium-High), and to find out the appropriate risk response in the implementation of the Two-lane Perawang Highway Construction in Siak Regency. The method used is a quantitative method by analyzing probability data and the impact on costs and time using SPSS Software which is then calculated using the Severity Index method, then the results will be plotted into the Probability and Impact Matrix to categorize all risk variables. The results of the research from the identification and analysis of risk are that there are 18 valid risk variables with the risk variables divided into 6 groups. As well as obtained 10 risks included in the Medium risk level and 10 risks included in the High risk level which affected costs, and there were 14 risks included in the Medium risk level and 6 risks included in the High risk level which affected time. The dominant risk that occurs in the cost aspect is related to materials, both due to delays in material delivery, loss of material, materials that do not meet the requirements or delivery of material volumes with the wrong amount. The response from the contractor is to minimize these causes by supervising or supervising the material directly with tighter controls. While the dominant risk that occurs in the time aspect is the lack of coordination and control within the team during the implementation of the Two Lane Perawang Highway Construction work in Siak Regency, causing delays in the completion of project implementation.
