Abstract

The growth of the construction industry currently requires several innovations, one of which is the utilization of waste materials into the development of construction technology, namely concrete, while the innovations used in concrete mixtures include natural materials, namely by utilizing waste materials, this is based on the fact that limestone is the main ingredient in cement manufacture. namely calcium oxide (CaO) and coconut shell which have hard and dense properties can be used as a substitute for coarse aggregate, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of concrete compressive strength on partial replacement of cement and coarse aggregate. This study used an experimental method that refers to SNI 03-2834-2000, variations in concrete mixes of 4%, 8%, 12% and 16% to a part by weight of cement and 10% of coconut shell to a part of coarse aggregate. , Treatment period of 28 days with compressive strength testing. The results obtained in this study normal concrete has a compressive strength fc' 23.4 MPa according to the plan, the compressive strength obtained from LBKTK4 concrete is 9.72 MPa, LBKTK8 concrete is 8.68 MPa, LBKTK12 concrete is 8.30 MPa , LBKTK16 concrete of 7.17 MPa experienced a decrease in compressive strength as the percentage of the concrete mixture increased.
