Abstract

Soil is one of the important components that can influence success in development because soil is also part of the most basic foundation of a construction project. The purpose of this study was to determine the CBR value of clay from the Artificial Lake Ring Road, Rumbai District, Riau. To be stabilized with a mixture of wood ash and zeolite. The soil stabilization method is one method that is often used to improve the condition of the original soil with less good soil support in Rumbai District to make it even better. The value of bearing strength on good soil is >6% for laboratory testing and >3% for field testing. The variation of the mixture used is 3%, 6% wood ash, 6% zeolite. The curing time is 2 and 4 days and 4 days of immersion. Based on the CBR value test that has been carried out on the original soil of 5.7%. From the test results, the highest CBR value was at 4 days of curing at the percentage of a mixture of 6% wood ash and 6% zeolite with a CBR value of 9.84%. The length of curing time and the addition of mixed variations is one of the factors that influence the value of the CBR, the longer the curing time and the increase in the percentage of mixed variations, the CBR value will further increase in both native and mixed soils. As for the submerged soil, the soil does not meet the standards to be used as a subgrade layer on roads > 6%.
