Abstract
The problem that is often encountered in the implementation of construction projects is that the implementation in the field does not go well according to the schedule that has been prepared, giving rise to a problem both regarding the cost and time of project implementation which has an impact on the productivity of heavy equipment. Heavy equipment productivity is a determining factor for the success of a project implementation. The method of observing the time of execution of the work is the field observation method. The field observation method is a data collection technique that is carried out through an observation accompanied by various recordings of the condition or behavior of the target object. From the analysis, it was found that for carrying out the irrigation canal excavation project, the productivity of heavy equipment analysis in the field was obtained, namely: Dump Trucks with a production capacity of 24.92 m3/hour, and Excavators with a production capacity of 241.13 m3/hour. With a total cost of Rp. 2.870.00.000. While the researchers got 10 units of Dump Trucks with a time of 270 days, and 1 unit of Excavator with a time of 270 days, with a total cost of Rp. 2,600,000,000. So to get more efficient results, the results of the analysis are selected which are considered to be able to obtain more efficient time, costs
