Abstract
In the design of earthquake-resistant structures, the structure is planned to have sufficient structural rigidity to be able to withstand the earthquake loads that occur. The idealization of structural rigidity can be seen from the response of the structure in the form of a period of vibration of the structure. Therefore, the period of structural vibration that occurs in the building must be limited in order to meet the expected structural rigidity so as to produce an optimal structural design. A good structural system not only prioritizes the ability of the structure to withstand working loads, but also considers aspects of the structural material requirements used. Therefore, further studies are needed regarding the selection of the right structural system so that the resulting design has reliability in terms of strength and is efficient in terms of the use of construction materials. In this study, a building structure system will be planned that takes a model from one of the 8 floors flats located in the city of Jakarta. The structure of the building will be planned using the Special Moment Bearing Concrete Frame System (SRPMK) structure, which is a structural system consisting of structural elements of columns and beams to withstand earthquakes. In addition, the structure will also be planned to use a Dual System consisting of column, beam and shear wall elements as an earthquake-resistant structure. After designing the structural elements, it will be known the volume of concrete and iron material requirements on the column, beam and shear wall elements so that the comparison of the structural material requirements produced in each structural system will be known. From the results of the analysis, it is found that the structure planned with SRPMK produces a base shear value of 3597.34 kN while the structure with a Dual System is 5199.93 kN, this shows that the Dual System structure obtains a percentage of the value of the base shear force ( base shear ). ) is 44,47% greater than the SRPMK structure. Based on the recapitulation of the volume of structural work, the total volume of concrete in the SRPMK structure is 1128,52 m3 while the Double System structure is 1016,45 m3 . This shows that in terms of the use of concrete materials, the structure with the Dual System is 10,89% more efficient than the SRPMK System. The total volume of iron in the SRPMK structure is 234950.54 kg while the Dual System structure is 254905.20 kg. This shows that in terms of the use of iron material, the structure with SRPMK is 7,82 % more efficient than the Dual System.
