Abstract

In the past few years and at the time of this research, the coal loading and unloading jetty in Prambatan Village has experienced high intensity of vessel traffic, resulting in inefficient maneuvering, vessel grounding, insufficient fender facilities, and limited bollard facilities. The objective of this research is to plan the width and depth of the navigation channel, select the fender type, and plan the bollard type for the coal loading and unloading jetty in Prambatan Village. The analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The planning of the navigation channel width is based on the Brunn method (1981), while the depth of the navigation channel is calculated using the Triatmodjo method (2010). The selection of the fender system is based on energy absorption calculations, and the selection of the bollard type is determined by calculating the total load due to vessel loading and unloading. Data processing involves collecting primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained through field observations, while secondary data includes vessel data, wind data, and current data used for planning the navigation channel, depth of the navigation channel, fender type, and bollard type. The calculation results for the navigation channel width are 185.288 meters, and the depth of the navigation channel is 12 meters. The design energy value for the fender is 0.086 ton-meter, indicating that the suitable fender type with a design energy value close to or slightly larger than this is a rubber fender, KVF 200 H. The total load on the bollard is 21 tons. Based on this value, the suitable bollard type with a load capacity close to or slightly larger than this is a tee bollard, CVS 15/25.
