Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main of pineapple peel waste POC and organic NPK on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in pre-nursery on peat soil. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted for 4 months, starting from February to May 2024. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the concentration of pineapple peel waste POC, consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 25, 50, 75 ml/l and the second factor is the dose of organic NPK, consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 11, 22, 33 g/polybag. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, corm diameter, wet weight, dry weight, and root volume. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction effect of pineapple peel waste POC and organic NPK was significant on the parameters of plant height, tuber diameter, wet weight, dry weight, and root volume. The best treatment was at a concentration of pineapple peel waste POC of 75 ml/l and a dose of organic NPK of 33 g/polybag. The main effect of pineapple peel waste POC was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was at a concentration of 75 ml/l. The main effect of organic NPK was significant on the parameters of plant height, tuber diameter, wet weight, dry weight, and root volume. The best treatment was at a dose of 33 g/polybag.
