Abstract
Research entitled The Effect of Traditional Market Liquid Waste and KFC Restaurant Waste on the Growth of Oil Palm Seedlings (Elaeis gueneensis Jacq.) In Pre Nursery. Aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main effect of traditional market liquid waste and KFC restaurant waste on the growth of oil palm seedlings in Pre Nursery. The research was conducted on Jalan Lintas Timur, Pangkalan Kasai, Simpati Raya, Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau, for 4 months from December 2023 to March 2024. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor is traditional market liquid waste with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 500, 750 and 1000 ml/plant. The second factor is KFC restaurant waste consisting of 4 treatment levels of 0, 500, 750 and 1000 ml/plant. The parameters observed were germination age, plant height, net assimilation rate, relative growth rate, number of fronds, stem circumference, root volume, and dry weight of the plant. The observation data were analyzed statistically and carried out with the BNJ test at a level of 5%. The results of the study showed that the interaction of traditional market liquid waste and KFC restaurant waste had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was a combination of traditional market liquid waste of 1000 ml/plant and KFC restaurant waste of 1000 ml/plant. The main treatment of traditional market liquid waste had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was 1000 ml/plant. The main treatment of KFC Restaurant Waste had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was 1000 ml/plant.
