Abstract

This research aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of the Biochar Application Test for Coffee Fruit Skin Waste and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth of Liberica Coffee Seedlings (coffea liberica var. Liberica). This research used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the biocar dosage of coffee fruit skin waste consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 50, 100, 150 g per polybag. The second factor is the dosage of NPK 16:16:16 consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 10, 15, 20 g per polybag. The parameters observed were measurements of soil pH, seedling height, number of leaves per plant, stem diameter, wet weight, dry weight and root volume. Observation data analysis of variance with Advanced Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The research results showed that the interaction effect of providing coffee husk waste biochar and NPK16:16:16 was significant on the observed parameters, namely wet weight, dry weight and root volume, and was not significant on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves per plant and stem diameter. The best treatment combination is coffee skin waste biochar 150 g/polybag and NPK 16:16:16 20 g per polybag. The main influence of coffee fruit peel waste biocar is significant on all observation parameters. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all observation parameters, except the number of leaves per plant. The best treatment is a dose of coffee fruit skin waste biochar of 150 g per polybag and NPK 16:16:16 20 g per polybag.
