Abstract
The research entitled "Application Test of Rice Husk Biochar and Moringa Leaf POC on the Growth and Production of Edamame Soybeans (Glycine max L. Merill)" was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Air Winter Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. for 3 months from March to June 2024. This research aims to determine the interaction effect and the main influence of the Application Test of Rice Husk Biochar and Moringa Leaf POC on the Growth and Production of Edamame Soybean Plants (Glycine max L. Merrill). This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the dose of rice husk biochar with 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 0.5, 1 and 1.5 kg per plot and the second factor was the Moringa leaf POC dose consisting of 4 treatment levels of 0, 40, 80 and 120 ml per liter of water. The parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, harvest age, flowering age, number of pods per plant, percentage of full pods, dry seed weight per plant, weight of 100 dry seeds. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance and carried out using the Advanced Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The research results showed that the interaction of rice husk biochar application and Moringa leaf POC had a significant effect on all parameters with the best combination of 1.5 kg rice husk biochar per plot and 120 ml Moringa leaf POC per liter of water. The main effect of rice husk biochar was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment at 1.5 kg per plot. The main effect of Moringa leaf POC was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment at a dose of 120 ml per liter of water.
