Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine and analyze the effectiveness of the subdistrict head in coordinating government administration in Sail District, Pekanbaru City. This research uses a qualitative approach. The informants in this research were 5 people with the Sail District Head of Pekanbaru City as the key informant. Data collection techniques using interviews and data analysis using the Miles and Huberman technique. The effectiveness of the sub-district head in coordinating government administration in Sail District, Pekanbaru City, the researchers can conclude that it has not been implemented effectively and efficiently, this is because the coordination that has been built is not accompanied by awareness and responsibility by each coordinating party. As a result, it has not made a significant contribution in achieving effective coordination, which ultimately means that the effectiveness of coordination in Sail District has not run optimally. Therefore, the sub-district head is expected to raise awareness of all parties regarding the importance of coordination in every program and work activity in Sail District. Effective coordination can be realized if it is supported by effective leadership. Every organizational leader has the responsibility to build good relationships in carrying out their duties, both internally and between organizations in their area.
