Abstract
Concrete is one of the construction technologies in the discipline of materials science that is always developing today. Often the materials needed for massive concrete production in various regions cause natural damage. In the implementation of construction, there is also a lot of concrete waste resulting from the testing and demolition of buildings and roads. The reuse of waste concrete will reduce unused waste, therefore this study aims to determine the compressive strength and effect on concrete using aggregate mixed with concrete waste. This study uses a cylindrical sample. There are five variants of the percentage of concrete waste as a partial replacement for coarse aggregate, namely 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% by weight of coarse aggregate. The method used for the calculation of the concrete mix (mix design) is based on SNI 03-2834-2000. The test was carried out at the age of 28 days. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the results obtained from the comparison of the compressive strength of concrete to variations in the use of waste concrete as a substitute for aggregate, obtained rough results for normal concrete or variations obtained by the compressive strength value of 0% concrete obtained by a compressive strength value of 34.16 MPa, for variations of waste concrete 25% obtained the compressive strength value is 33.69 MPa and is the maximum variation compressive strength compared to the others, for the 50% waste concrete variation the compressive strength results are 32.84 MPa, while the 75% concrete waste variation obtains the compressive strength value of 32.18 MPa, and for variations wasted compressive strength of 100% concrete of 30.76 MPa. Whereas the value of the modulus of elasticity also decreased with the result being 27468.24 MPa for normal concrete or 0% concrete waste variation, 25% concrete waste variation was 27247.26 MPa, 50% concrete waste variation was 26906.41 MPa, concrete waste variation was 75 % is 26658.07 MPa, and the variation of 100% concrete waste is 26062.36 MPa
