Abstract

Online motorcycle taxis are transportation that is very popular with many urban communities. It is not uncommon for online motorcycle taxis to be found very easily and practically in big cities, one of which is Pekanbaru City. With the existence of online motorcycle taxis in the city of Pekanbaru, there is still a great need for supervision and clarity regarding the social security and health status of online motorcycle taxi drivers themselves. In a similar regulation regarding guarantees for online motorcycle taxi drivers, this has not been specifically regulated considering that there are so many online motorcycle taxi drivers in the city of Pekanbaru and the risks they face on the highway are quite numerous, so it needs to be regulated in more detail regarding the health and safety of the drivers. online motorcycle taxis in Pekanbaru city. The research used by the author of this thesis in this research is a normative juridical research method, using a statutory and historical approach, by collecting interview data in the field with online motorcycle taxi transportation partners in Pekanbaru. Through this research, it is hoped that a systematic, factual and accurate picture will be obtained regarding certain facts regarding legal protection for online motorcycle taxi transportation partners. The results of this research concluded that the government and online motorcycle taxi application service providers are fully responsible for implementing the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 12 of 2019. The form of government responsibility itself can be formulated in a repressive or preventive manner. And in this case, the results obtained are that the legal implications of the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 12 of 2019 are regarding four things, namely: regarding the implementation of the law itself, the government, online transportation companies, and also online transportation driver partners.
