Abstract

The introduction of hijaiyah letters needs to be given to children starting as early as possible. So far, the introduction of hijaiyah letters has only used iqra media, posters, worksheets and singing, but this has not given maximum results in the introduction of hijaiyah letters. Therefore, an interesting hijaiyah letter recognition media is needed, namely in the form of smart card media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using smart card media on the recognition of hijaiyah letters aged 4-5 years at YLPI Islamic Kindergarten Marpoyan Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental research methods using a one-group pretest-posttest design. This study used smart card media as the object of research and 17 students aged 4-5 years in Islamic Kindergarten YLPI Marpoyan Pekanbaru as research subjects. the sampling technique, the researcher used saturated sampling, that is, all members of the population were used as samples. The data collection technique used is the observation instrument. Data analysis techniques in this study used nonparametric statistics with the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The research hypothesis can be seen Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) has a value of 0.00 because the value of 0.00 is less than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted" So it can be concluded that "smart card media has an effect on the recognition of hijaiyah letters aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Islam YLPI Marpoyan Pekanbaru."
