Abstract

The study is motivated by the low students’ motivation to obtain achievement at SMAN 2 Minas. This study aims to investigate whether there is an influence of teaching creativity on students’ motivation to obtain achievement in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 2 Minas. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population of the study is 173 students with a sample of 115 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the alternative hypothesis that there is an influence of teaching creativity on students’ motivation to obtain achievement is accepted with a significance value of 0.000. The level of the implemention of teaching creativity is 0.8777 or 87.77%. This value is included in the interval 81% - 100% with a very good level. So, the results of the teaching creativity level (variable X) is 87.77% or in a very good category. The level of students’ motivation to obtain achievement (variable Y) is 0.8740 or 87.40%. This value if is included in the interval 0.81 – 1.000 with a very high level. Then, the result of the level of students’ motivation to obtain achievement (variable Y) is 87.40% or in a very good category. And the influence of teaching creativity on students’ motivation to obtain achievement is 93.7% with a very strong category. While the remaining 100% - 93.7% = 6.7% is influenced by other factors. In conclusion, the relationship between teaching creativity and students’ motivation to obtain achievement is 0.968 or 96.8%, it means that if the level of implementation of teaching creativity is increased then it will be very effective in increasing students’ motivation to obtain achievement by 0.968 or 96.8%.
