Abstract

Teacher and parents cooperation at school was a cooperation that was conducted in students’ education needs in order to reached the purposes that was students who had faith, piety, and good character. The purpose in this research examined to describe and analyzed critically about teachers and parents cooperation in habituating students’ shalat activity at elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya Village Kampar Regency. This research was descriptive qualitative design by using interview method. The subject in this research was Islamic education teacher and three students’ parents at class 6 Shafa elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya village. Meanwhile, the object in this research was how teacher and parents cooperation in habituating students’ shalat activity at elementary school Sakinah Pandau Jaya village. Then, data analysis technique used data reduction, data display, and verification. Research finding showed that there was any significant cooperation between teacher and parents in habituating students’ shalat activity at class 6 Shafa elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya village. It could be seen from the cooperation between teacher and parents by doing good communication with visiting to students’ house or with social media interaction, teacher invited parents to school, teacher and parents doing case conference, teacher sent letter to parents, there was a list of report score, giving examples, giving advice, habituating, controlling discipline, and giving motivation and reinforcement. Besides, the supporting factors such as parents’ good enthusiastic, school program, and easy communication between school and parents, meanwhile obstacles factors such as some of parents did not give respect in guiding their children to do shalat and they were busy with their work.
